The Seelbach Hotel

This is my second time visiting (drinking) in Louisville and this time I could not pass up the chance to drink at the world famous Seelbach Hotel.

Once upon a time a man called F. Scott Fitzgerald sat at this bar and got the inspiration for The Great Gatsby. Al Capone built a secret tunnel here to escape the Cops during his illegal poker games. Any US President worth his salt (Clinton, FDR, JFK, Truman, Johnson) has stayed here and inevitably stepped downstairs for a cocktail. Fuck even the King himself Elvis Pressley has pulled up here.

Drinking in this bar is one thing ticked off the bucket list for me.

It ends with Bloody Mary's
